WIVC is a nonprofit organization, established in 1983. It is owned and managed by its members through a board of directors elected by the membership body.

Members of WIVC possess occupancy rights in perpetuity rather than a deeded interest. These memberships are completely transferable via sale, gift, donation, or will.

WIVC operates as a right-to-use membership club, also known as floating time, and is a multi-destination membership entity. The club owns properties in various locations including Acapulco, Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Rosarito Beach, Spain, California, and Florida.

Members have the privilege of traveling to any of the club’s resorts without incurring an exchange fee, except for those in Florida. WIVC is affiliated with three exchange companies: Interval International, Resort Condominiums International, and 7Across, and it also maintains an in-house exchange program.

Additionally, WIVC offers one of the lowest annual maintenance fees in the industry. The organization’s headquarters are located in Palm Springs, California.
