This cozy casa attracts our determined beach-fanatics, and yet you can escape to your private esplanade in just a few steps.

Downtown and the Malecón are literally steps away, which lead you to the sculpture-laden shoreline, the shops, the charming restaurants and boutiques, and, on some days, the famous musical festivals in the old-town Baroque bandstand and gardens.

Boats sail from the Malecón every day, and you might want to consider the voyage to Yelapa, which has come into its own as a tropical paradise; from there, you can ride horseback along the beach or walk up the hill to a stunning waterfall which cascades 150 feet. From Casa de la Playa’s pool and beachfront “backyard,” it’s surprising that any sun-lover would venture anywhere.
