Hurricane Otis

Hurricane Otis hit Acapulco on October 25, 2023, with 165 mph winds, and devastated the city of Acapulco. The Mar Azul sustained major damage inside and out, but no lives were lost.
 
Since the event occurred, we have been working with our insurance company.  It has been ascertained that the building is structurally sound.  The insurance adjusters have visited the Mar Azul on several occasions and their reports are under review.  Ivette Mendietta, resort manager has meticulously catalogued and categorized the contents of the building.  She has met with contractors and vendors and as soon as our claim is finalized, we will proceed with the steps necessary to commence restorations.
